For gin lovers, this is the Glastonbury of drink festivals.
The UK’s Largest Gin Festival will be in Liverpool for two days starting on Friday 18th December until Saturday 19th.
This will be the 4th time the Gin Festival has been in Liverpool with it being a huge success, selling out every year. But this year’s festival is set to be extra special, located in one of Liverpool’s most stunning venues, Lutyens Crypt at the Metropolitan Cathedral.
There will be over 100 types of gins on offer throughout the evening and you’ll receive your own gin glass on arrival which is yours to keep. There will be three sessions, live entertainment, talks from industry expects and lots of opportunity to share your love of gin with other enthusiasts.
Liverpool is known for its love of gin and is even home to its very own gin company, Liverpool Gin which is distilled in the city.
The funniest man in comedy comes to Liverpool’s Echo Arena with his hotly anticipated, brand new stand-up show, Happy & Glorious.
Michael will be in Merseyside on the 4th and 5th of December with his third headline tour. It has been over three years since he last toured with Showtime in 2012, which had 71 arena dates, playing to over 700,000 people.
The stand up comic is a hit with everyone of all ages, from teenagers to parents and couples to stag parties, everyone seems to love him. Tickets range from £35 to £55 and are available online or from the Echo Arena box office.
After a few laughs why not head to Bar Signature which is just a short 10-minute walk from the arena and carry on your night in style. On the 4th we’ll be hosting our weekly Fresh & Funky night hosted by MOBO award winning DJ Brian Norman who will be on the decks until the early hours. On Saturday, Anthem will be in the building with resident DJ Dave Seed playing the very best in club classics, 90’s RnB and chart hits until 3am.
The infamous festive markets are back for their 11th year in Liverpool. Boasting a large section of food, clothing, Christmas decorations and numerous bars the markets run right through the centre of the city
Running from the bottom of Bold Street all the way up to Debenhams and down Paradise Street, there is a total of 39 markets which come from all corners of the world, including Liverpool. Local traders are selling items such as; capes, original Liverpool photos, sheepskin wool, handbags & pashminas, cupcakes, Spanish tapas, hog roast and fair trade incense.
Liverpool One recently had the light switch on for what is the biggest Christmas tree in the UK located outside John Lewis on Paradise Street. Standing at 30 metres tall, the tree is made up of 280 heart lights which glow numerous colours all day and night. Underneath the unusual Christmas tree is Bar Hütte, an alpine themed bar which consists of 10 Hüttes where you can get cozy and watch the shoppers walk by or take part in Carole-Oke located in a couple of the Hüttes.
After exploring the markets why not pop into Bar Signature to warm yourself up with a nice cocktail or beer whilst having a dance or relax in our snug booths where they’ll be live acoustic music on Sundays.
The markets are open from November 19th until the 22nd of December 2015 and will be open 7 days a week. Opening times are Monday-Saturday 10am-8pm and Sunday 11am-5pm.
